Heritage Shetland Wool
We grow fine wool from Shetland sheep raised on pasture with our livestock guardian dogs, Wendell and Carson, and using regenerative agriculture practices.
Our semi-worsted natural color yarns in all different weights are milled at Round Barn Fiber Mill located in Durand, Illinois. Some of are yarns are hand-dyed on the farm with plants found or grown intentionally on the farm.

Grassfed and Finished Beef
Our grassfed cows are raised on the pasture and rotated regularly to ensure we’re taking care of them and the land. They’re never fed feed with GMO’s or growth hormones, given antibiotics, or grazed on artificial pesticides. They graze and roam with big smiles! In turn this creates the highest quality, nutrition packed beef for you to enjoy.
Pasture-Raised Eggs
Our hens move about the farm in portable coops, one named the MHF Egg Trolley and the other the MHF Egg Excursion. Our chickens are treated humanely (dare we say pampered?) with open space and plenty of bugs and grass for foraging. You can taste the difference in quality!
Sheep Wool Pellets
Shearing is a necessary step in the animal husbandry of sheep, required for animal health and welfare. Wool pellets are made from waste wool. Wool pellets are an opportunity to bridge the gap between our lack of infrastructure for processing wool and the abundance of wool that is being under-utilized. The application of wool (9-0-2 NPK) has been shown to have a beneficial effect on soil quality and plant performance. Marble Hill Farm in partnership with specialty crop growers is investigating the use of wool pellets as a soil amendment and mulch (NCR-SARE Farmer Rancher Grant: Integrating Sheep Wool Pellets with Specialty Crop System to Enhance Soil Health, Water Storage, Carbon Sequestration, and Plant Production).
